I didn’t know they Ghostbusters would be showing in theaters till it was trending on twitter last week. Tonight I went and caught on of my all time favorite movies at the Regal. Met a fan there too, he was dressed up! It was a blast and I hope they keep re-releasing movies like this. Second chance to see these when I couldn’t as a kid.

We will be talking about this more on the Geeked Out Podcast this week but I wanted to post MORE about it. There is something called the SCREAM Awards on SPIKE, yeah I never heard of it either, that will air October 19th. To coincide with the 25th Anniversary, yeah…I know…., of Back to the Future, SPIKE has remade the teaser trailer for this show AND will have a Back to the Future reunion. Cool, right? ONLY if they get Doc Brown and Biff to show up!

There are some that debated that there never should have been an Indy 4…but I liked it. I was happy to see Indy one last time and even though it may have had some questionable scenes, I still found it to be a good fit in the series of movies. Don’t get me wrong though, this is maybe third highest on my list of Indy movies but no higher! I am probably behind the news on this one but Indy 5? Sigh…would their be plans to make this the Young Indy beginnings?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs in our country…but when you protest things like funerals of fall soldiers or Geek festivals….who is really going to take you seriously?

Comic-Con 2010 is on this week and Westboro Church decided to…protest. Geeks being geeks…protested in their own way.

I really thought he would go the way of John Candy, all fat funny men need to take care of themselves…looks like this John is on the way to being skinny!

I finally watched Speedracer…he looked rough in that movie…so happy that he is turning things around for himself!

Chalk another up for the MPAA. They have successfully shutdown one of the best newsgroups indexing sites, Newzbin.com. There is a problem if the MPAA is able to take down an indexer but not the people that have originally uploaded the content. A lot of the times, it is their own distributors with the breaches! Now I use the groups to download TV shows, most of them are from the current season. If networks like CBS would offer a better on demand service of their shows, I wouldn’t have to be downloading commercial free episodes of their shows. Places like Hulu are awesome for ON DEMAND content. When will the MPAA, RIAA, TV networks get with the program and cater to their customers! We are pushing for change, WTF are you doing going after the wrong people and forcing old ideas on today’s generation??
