August 28th, 2010 Josh Dick August 24th, 2010 Josh Dick Yes…TODAY, 15 years ago, Windows 95 change the computing world on desktops and servers. The START button has given way to the Windows button now but this was a HUGE deal in 1995. I was 15 at the time and remember fighting with my sister that I shouldn’t upgrade our computer to Windows 95. You got to think about it…this paved the way of PCs as we know it today. The internet was in it’s infancy in those days too. Amazing how far we have come and I feel old thinking about it now.
The START button was always a silly thing to me. Why call it START? Well, here is what Microsoft was thinking at the time… the original release commercial!
August 24th, 2010 Josh Dick So if you listened to Episode 2 of The Geeked Out Podcast, Chris issued a challenge to me to start watching True Blood. Now I know am a late comer to the show, but heck…there is a lot of good TV out there these days. My first impressions since starting on Sunday…I am already on episode 7 as I am writing by the way, it is a refreshing reboot for Vampires…at least for me. After the idea of Twilight and the garbage from the movies the past few years, Vampires wanting equal rights and those that want to remain the same in today’s world..definitely a good direction that is keeping me interested. Even after all the progress made in the country/world for all to accept each other for who they are and what they do, True Blood spins it to include Vampires.
I know it will get better as I go and can’t wait to finish my binge. Give it a go if you haven’t watched it yet. Oh, and it probably has one of the best intros for TV…next to Dexter that is…

Shes a mommy now. I think they got bigger and may have their own gravitational pull. I wish she would be in more movies which would translate into more public appearances and more photoshoots. Just can’t get enough of her. Her accent is second on my list of voice fetish. Being English…that’s the top!

August 22nd, 2010 Josh Dick There are some that debated that there never should have been an Indy 4…but I liked it. I was happy to see Indy one last time and even though it may have had some questionable scenes, I still found it to be a good fit in the series of movies. Don’t get me wrong though, this is maybe third highest on my list of Indy movies but no higher! I am probably behind the news on this one but Indy 5? Sigh…would their be plans to make this the Young Indy beginnings?
